MyEducationBC (MyEdBC) is the electronic student information management system used in the Province of BC. MyEdBC is an intuitive web-based tool which is able to run on mobile devices and provides access to current student information. A staff member’s role in the district will determine the level of access they have to the system. MyEdBC is a FOIPPA protected environment which was developed by Follett (Aspen) and is customized for BC’s education environment.
MyEdBC is a partnership between School Districts, The Ministry of Education, Fujitsu (the service provider) and Follett. The planning for the implementation of MyEducation BC in SD42 started in February 2015. The implementation began in September 2015 and finished in June 2016. The MyEdBC site is constantly being upgraded to include new features.
